CityDance Summer Camp
The 5-day CityDance Summer Camp runs from August 3-7 2026 at the Neglia Ballet studios. It is a fun-filled adventure where kids can explore dance, learn music skills, and practice yoga – all in a creative, supportive environment! No prior dance or arts experience required. With activities designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and promote wellness, it’s the perfect summer experience for your child. What is CityDance? Neglia Ballet began CityDance, Neglia Ballet’s community-engaged programming, in 2001 with the mission to increase long-term access to dance instruction for the Buffalo community. We do this by collaborating with local schools, nonprofits and community centers and use an asset-based approach to develop customized dance classes for youth-seniors. Today, CityDance partners with West Side Community Services, Catholic Health Services, Buffalo commons Charter School, The Salvation Army, and Catholic Academy of West Buffalo.
Summer Camp 2026 Details
Dates: Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Activities: Expected daily activities include: ballet, yoga, hip-hop, enrichment games, drumming, and more. Children will be expected to engage in all classes each day.
Ages: CityDance Summer Camp welcomes children ages 7-11 years.
Lunches: A simple, healthy lunch will be provided (deli wraps, fruit, pretzels/popcorn), or students can bring their own if they have special dietary needs or prefer their own lunch.
Tuition: Summer camp tuition rates are offered on a sliding-scale, tiered system. A sliding scale increases access by adjusting prices or fees based on a person's ability to pay, making services more affordable for those with lower incomes. This allows individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford a service to still access it, promoting broader participation and equity.
*Neglia Ballet is offering three ticket tiers for this event:
$350 - Full Price Rate (what it costs for us to host this event) 10 tickets available
$250 - Subsidized Rate (a discounted rate for economic accessibility) 5 tickets available
$150 - CityDance Student Rate (reserved only for students currently in our programs at partner sites) 5 tickets available
***please note that all ticket sales will include a mandatory $20 registration fee. This mandatory fee helps cover administrative expenses. All camp tickets must be purchased by July 1 2026.
Scholarships: If your student received a CityDance Star Student award, please email us at citydance@negliaballet.org for a promotional code to take $150 off the "CityDance Student Rate" (you only pay the $20 registration fee).
